Adventure of the Seas / Part 3 – St Martin

Here’s part 3 of my cruise aboard the Adventure of the Seas and my 7-night southern Caribbean cruise.

This video is of my third stop at the fabulous tropical island of Saint Martin. This is the island nation that is split between the French and Netherland Antilles. The southern side of the island is Dutch and the northern side is French.

The island is collectively known as St-Martin/St Maarten! It’s a wonderful Caribbean island with very friendly people. It is extremely easy to get around this island as well. Taxis are readily available right where you disembark the ship and it’s one of the most organized situations and easiest to navigate that I have ever seen in all the Caribbean islands. The taxis also have set amounts for each distination around the island and these amounts are clearly posted so you know what to expect. There’s also a water taxi readily available and very near the ship’s pier which will take your directly to downtown Philipsburg if you choose.

It’s all exceptional in my opinion in comparison to other Caribbean port stops.  You can also share a ride with others too and save money on taxis or just do it on your own. Which ever you choose, it doesn’t matter because an extremely friendly taxi driver will get you where you want to go.

St Martin is my most favorite Caribbean island and Orient Beach as well as Dawn Beach on St Martin are my most favorite beaches.

I hope you enjoy this video if you haven’t been there or if you’re thinking of taking a cruise to this destination or even if you’ve been here before.  Hopefully this will  bring back some memories.
